They also flew, rather floated, to the North Pole in a giant air ship also known as the Norge. Umberto Nobile designed and flew the air ship himself. Roald Amundsen lead the expedition. So, was it then Umberto Nobile and Roald Amundsen the great Norwegian explorer the first persons to visit the North Pole?

5. Was it Ralph Plaisted and three armatures in snowmobiles?

Maybe the first visitors of the North Pole didn’t use dogs or air planes. Their trip was officially recorded by the US Air force weather plane. Did snowmobiles bring the first visitors to the North Pole?

 

6. Was it Wally Herbert and three others from England on a dogsled?

Bark, Bark, Bark all night long! Wally Herbert started from point Barow, Alaska and crossed the Artic Ocean to Belgian. Wally Hurbert had a great team and a team of dogs! Was Wally Herbert and his team the first persons to visit the North Pole?

 

7. Was it the Japanese adventurer Naomi Uemura?

Naomi Uemura went to the North Pole alone with his dog sled. He started from Ellesmere Island to reach the North Pole. Was Naomi Uemura the first person to visit the North Pole?

8. Was it Frederick Albert Cook , an American explorer?

Mr. Cook was a seasoned explorer. When he set out for the expedition , no one yet had visited the North Pole. He set out to be the first man to visit North Pole. Was it Frederick Albert Cook the first person to visit the North Pole?

 

9. Was it an expedition from The Soviet Union?

Four very good explorers, Pavel Kononovich Sen’ko, Mikhail Michailovich Somov, Pavel Afanasyevich Geordiyenko and Mikhail Yemel’ Yanovich Ostrekin from the Soviet Union set out to be the first to stand exactly on the north pole. They had a good chance because they often explored their own country which is also very cold. Was it the four Russians that were the first visitors to the North Pole?
